Alarm Monitoring using GSM Voice
A quick solution for consumers that disconnect their landline is to replace that communication path with a terminal that provides dial tone from a GSM network. Instead of calls travelling over telephone wires, they travel wirelessly over the mobile phone network and back onto the PSTN network and into the alarm receiver at the alarm monitoring centre.
The CellAlarm-GSM is popular with consumers that are not IP savvy as there is no need to worry about modems, routers and everything else that comes along with IP based solutions. It is also very popular as you are free to change Monitoring Companies just by changing the phone numbers in the security alarm panel or medical PERS unit.

CellAlarm-GSM
Simply unplug your alarm panel or medical device from the phone socket and plug it into the RJ11 port on the CellAlarm-GSM. Pop in a SIM card from any GSM network provider, power it up and the upgrade is complete.
There is nothing to program in the CellAlarm-GSM and there is no requirement to reprogram your alarm panel or PERS unit as it will dial the same phone number and communicate in the same protocol with the same alarm receiver as it did over PSTN. It really doesn't get any simpler than that.
The CellAlarm-GSM comes complete with a 3 metre antenna and contains its own battery backup in case of power failure. Available in black or white, the cost is $149 including $30 shipping from Thailand. Trade discounts available.
