Optional recording of IP Cameras

The instant an alarm system is activated, the Virtual Monitoring server sends out email and SMS alerts to any number of contacts and starts recording from any number of IP cameras based on settings that have been entered into an online account. No physical wiring is required between IP cameras and the alarm panel. Everything is handled by cutting edge software technology on the server.

Images to your Smart Phone

Recorded images can be emailed out to mobile phones and with your permission, they can also be made available to a monitoring company operator for a programmable number of minutes following an event.

The ability to visually verify an alarm event can prevent costly false alarms and the unnecessary dispatch of police or private patrols.

Virtual Monitoring is highly suited to todays high-tech world driven by the Internet and mobile devices. It is an ideal solution where a fast police response is not possible, or where you simply prefer to have people you know respond to alarm events. Virtual Monitoring alerts the people who care most about the security of your home or business. You, your family and your friends.

New South Wales Police Introduce $200 False Alarm Fine

NSW Police introduced an Alarm Response Policy where police required verification of alarm events from 'visual or remote video'. They have since released some amazing statistics. The Alarm Response Policy has reduced the number of reported false alarms by sixty five percent, which equates to more than 58,000 incidents. Of the 28,000 incidents that police responded to, only six percent were confirmed as genuine. As a result, the New South Wales Police will be charging a $200 fine for false alarms to help them provide a more effective response to genuine alarm activations. Other states may follow this policy in the future.

Under Section 209 of the NSW Police Act the Commissioner will charge a fee of $200, where Police respond to a false alarm twice within any twenty eight day period. This suggests that consumers should consider the addition of IP Cameras to their security system so that a monitoring operator can assess if an event is genuine. The Virtual Monitoring Platform was designed for this purpose and could end up saving you some nasty fines.
